So today in the discussion for my advertising class, we began to talk about the underground movement called 'Anti-Valentine's Day.' Which is really counter-productive because now that it has become mainstream, people who protest Valentines day for being a holiday created by a corporation for the sole purpose of consumption are now consuming to protest consuming. Make sense? I didn't think so. We were encouraged to look online for anti-VD cards, and I found this overly-amusing Web site with cards that are even more hilarious than the image you see at the right from
Meish.org. Take a look, and e-mail one to a friend if you're trying to avoid caring about VD, and end up caring anyways.
Kim, Laura, and I plan on watching horror movies on Wednesday after recording the podcasts, and watching American Idol of course. Speaking of podcasts, I should mention that the primary reason I"ve been MIA for the past two weeks is that I've been working on the Web site for our new podcast called,
Reality Check: American Idol Style. Please check it out, and subscribe if you like American Idol. We're all super excited. Well, I'm super excited. Kim and Laura are just along for the ride as usual. I'll try to post more often.
